Shell script connections execute shell commands and calls using operating system shells. Standard output and error output are logged, and in both cases, if the output is longer than 2000 characters, the output is truncated to keep the leading 2000 characters and the trailing 2000 characters. The task is successful if it exits with a return value of 0. It is possible to define a specific return value which is interpreted as a warning (see Edit task).
